Patch: Audio Variations
The Audio Variations patch allows you to give your machine's custom sounds more variation with additional sounds that randomly cycle.
Enabling
Enabling this patch is as simple as going to OPTION > MPatcher, and turning on AudioVariations.
How to use
This patch requires no configuration changes, it will directly read from your machine's Sound Configuration file. To add sounds to be randomly selected, they need to be in the same folder as the original file.
The file's name needs to be the original with an underscore, and then the sound number, starting from 1. For example, if your Sound definition file has cannon1, shot, 50
in it, your sound names would be shot.wav
, shot_1.wav
, shot_2.wav
, and so on. As many sounds as you want can be added, but it is recommended to stay below 10.
