Patch: Voice Chat

The "Voice Chat" Patch enables voice chat capability in MachineCraft.

Setup

Before joining a game, be sure you set a Mute/Un-mute keybind. It can be accessed by going into the OPTION menu, and then into the SOUND tab.

Warning

Be aware that keybind you set will toggle even when typing in chat, so be careful which key you use to toggle mute.

In Game

Once in game, press your toggle key to mute or un-mute yourself. Your mute status is represented by an icon in the bottom right corner of the screen. A Icon means you are not muted, and other players will be able to hear your voice. Likewise, a icon means you are muted, and other players cannot hear you.

Proximity Mode

Each time you start MachineCraft, your Voice Chat will be set to Proximity Mode, represented by a icon next to the mute icon.

Proximity mode means you can hear players based on how near they are to you. The closer a player is, the louder they are.

To turn this feature off, simply click on the mute indicator at the bottom right corner of the screen, and the proximity indicator will turn off.

Blocking Players

If a player is being disruptive with voice chat, simply block them through MachineCraft by using the Modifier+Click combination on a player in the server list.
