Patch: VR
The VR patch allows you to play MachineCraft using any SteamVR compatible VR headset, such as an HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, or Mixed Reality. Currently, you can play in "Seated Mode", which allows you to use your mouse and keyboard to play the game, while viewing it in VR.
Warning
Do not use this patch if you are sensitive to flashing lights, or get motion sickness easily.
Requirements
A SteamVR compatible VR headset is required. SteamVR also needs to be installed and working on your computer.
Enabling
Start the MPatcher installer (Version 1.4 and up), and select the VR Patch option. Start the MachineCraft installation you would like to have VR on, and press the Install button on the installer.
Once MachineCraft Starts, press the "Seated Mode" button on the selection menu that appears.
In the "OPTION > MPatcher > VR Settings" menu, you can change settings, such as which headset you are using to improve compability, If the mouse will stay locked in the MachineCraft window, or if your UI will have be curved. For Offset Camera
, it is reccomended to leave that option on, as turning it off will put your view inside some machines.
Starting in VR
To start MachineCraft in VR, make sure SteamVR is running and your VR headset is working, and then you can use the McnCraft_VR
shortcut next to McnCraft.exe.
Re-Centering your seated position
To Re-Center your seated position, press the Modifier key + C. The Modifier key is usually Left Alt.
